The report of the World Economic Forum on Technology Pioneers 2007 presents 47 highly innovative companies in three industry sectors (1) Biotechnology, (2) Energy and environmental technology, (3) information technology. The companies were chosen on the basis of six selection criteria, including innovation, impact, growth and sustainability, practical applications of the technology, leadership, and status (being member of the WEF).
