In support of the nomination process for 2010 Intelligent Community of the Year, the Intelligent Community Forum has published a white paper entitled “The Education ‘˜Last Mile’ ‘“ Closing the Gap from School to Work’. The white paper explains and explores the 2010 awards annual theme, with the same name, which supplements the IC Indicators.
The white paper aims to guide communities in completing the nomination process. In addition, ICF looks to raise awareness of a vital issue in community development in the Broadband Economy.
The white paper provides a revealing look at the current state of the “educational market’ that connects talent in their communities to local work and career opportunities. It also offers case studies from several innovative communities that have been honored in ICF’ s annual Awards program.
