The report, published by NESTA, proposes a framework for innovation that can be used by both arts funders and arts organisations. It describes the rich ways that arts and cultural organisations innovate in audience reach, push out artistic frontiers and create economic and cultural value.
Culture of Innovation is the outcome of a novel research-led collaboration between NESTA and two of the UK’ s leading cultural organisations, the National Theatre (NT) and the Tate. Both organisations are widely acknowledged as leading innovators in their respective artforms. The scale of their operations allows NESTA to use experimental techniques to develop quantitative research insights that are of importance to the wider arts and cultural sector.
