The objective of the CIUDAD 2020 project is to develop a new smart city model that is ecologically and economically sustainable, in which the analysis of real citizen demands along with the communication opportunities offered by the Internet and the growing number of devices connected to the web, are the basis for offering public services that are adapted to user needs
– Indra leads the consortium of nine companies that, through this project, will address innovation in transportation, the Internet of the future, energy efficiency, environmental sustainability and the relationship between citizens and their city.
– Aside from integrating different fields and technologies, the main innovation of CIUDAD 2020 is the study of urban citizen behaviour as a basis for offering services adapted to needs.
– With a budget of €16.3 million, it is one of the first industrial research projects within the INNPRONTA Programme of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness’ Centre for Technological Industrial Development (CDTI).
