Social coding community GitHub launched a portal named Github and Government dedicated to showcasing the amazing efforts of public servants and civic hackers around the globe.
The new Government portal wants to connect governments with the public to “share best practices and learn from each other’. The ultimate goal is to stimulate governments all over the world to open source code, datasets, legislation and information so that citizen programmers can help solve local problems.
