FIWARE seeks to provide an open, public and royalty-free architecture that allows developers, service providers, enterprises and other organizations to develop applications that satisfy their needs while still being open and innovative.
Among the FIWARE pillars is the Future Internet Accelerators Programme, which offers €80 million euros of direct funding, mentoring and networking to create innovative Internet application with FIWARE technologies. Open calls are offered by a series of Future Internet Accelerators in the fields of smart cities, eHealth,transport, energy and environment, agrifood, media and content, manufacturing and logistics, social and learning.
