The book “Green Computing in Smart Cities: Simulation and Techniques’ is a collection of research on green computing and the smart city. The editors aim at providing an up-to-date collection of thoughts and research on the issue and bring to the front and expand the discussion within the research community.
According to the editors, the financial and environmental costs of energy are a concern in smart cities due to the high usage of computing, technology, security, IoT, communications, traffic, and other technologies. This book tackles this problem with a focus on computing, reporting on various approaches being taken worldwide, illustrated by several international case studies demonstrating these approaches.
The papers included in this book discuss a variety of problematics related to the thematic. The topics of algorithms of green computing, technologies for sustainable development, smart energy in IoT and Big Data, Computational Intelligence in Energy are analysed among others.
